Matrix is a modern sofa bed with tufted seat available as a 2 or 3 seater, or as an armchair. All models can turn into comfortable beds with a 200 cm long and 14 cm thick mattress, in single, large single, small double, double and king sizes. The conversion from couch to sleeper is easy, smooth and effortless. Thanks to our Lampolet metal-action mechanism this clever convertible opens up by simply pulling and then lowering the backrest. The easy-open system allows you to do so without removing any cushion. Plus, the back hides a handy pillows storage compartment.
With low block feet and a stylish checked seat cushion, the Matrix convertible sports a truly modern, timeless look that will stand the test of time. The blind biscuit tufting with no buttons makes it a stylish piece that fits in well into living rooms, as well as sophisticated guest rooms and hotel spaces. Great in leather, which is the best choice to give the tufting the centre stage, it also comes in faux leather or fabric for more casual or mid-century inspired interiors. Mechanism (or frame for sofa without bed): High resistance steel tube epoxy baked painted. Orthopedic base with quality continental weld-mesh, fixed to the frame with springs. Seating made with polypropylene fabric (for bed only). Opening and closing operations with one single movement (for bed only).
Mattress (for bed only): Interior springing made of a 2,20 mm. diam. hardened steel; CM expanded polyurethane foam 27 Kg/m3; cover in 100% CO ecru FR treated fabric quilted with FR 100% PL 200 g/m2 and “barrier” non woven support; sides in 100% CO ecru FR treated fabric quilted with mm. 5 foam; piping. The mattress meets the requirement of BS 7177 : 1996 Specification for Resistance to ignition of Mattresses, Divans and Bed Bases for “Medium Hazard” (Crib 5).
Frame: Back: high resistance steel tube epoxy baked painted. Armrests: solid fir, poplar plywood and particle wood Headboard and front panel (nonbearing): particle wood strengthened with solid fir.
Padding: Seat: Expanded polyurethane foam 35 Kg/m3; needle-punched thermo-fixed fiber TL/S-C 200 gr/m2 combined with Schedule 3 interliner and 2,5 mm. foam combined interliner. Quilted cover: bottom: 100% cotton fabric; padding: resinated polyester fiber “Valform” 200 gr/m2; top: Schedule 3 interliner Back: Expanded polyurethane foam 25 Kg/m3 M CM; needle-punched thermo-fixed fiber 300 gr/m2 covered with Schedule 3 interliner and 2,5 mm. foam combined interliner. Headboard and front panel: 10 mm. CM foam combined with Schedule 3 interliner and 2,5 mm. foam combined interliner. Armrests: Expanded polyurethane foam ELAST 65 Kg/m3 + 40 Kg/m3 PCM and 10 mm. CM foam combined with Schedule 3 interliner and 2,5 mm. foam combined interliner.

All fabrics meet the requirements of Schedule 4, Part I, “The Cigarette Test” of The Furniture and Furnishing (Fire) (Saety) Regulations 1988 (as amended) S.I. 1324, using the BS 5852: Part 1: 1979, Methods of test for the igniability by smokers’ materials of upholstered composites for seating.
Legs: Chromed metal or solid beech wood, natural, wengé or cherry finish.
