Evoking the stylish Chesterfield sofas, Douglas is a 2-3 seater diamond tufted sofa bed with or without buttons on the back, seat and arms. An old-fashioned - yet still in vogue - design, the diamond tufting adds an immediate retro allure to any settings. Looking good it also functions extremely well as a bed. Thanks to the Lampolet metal action mechanism and to a range of mattresses that includes a premium pocket sprung model, this sleeper sofa converts to a single, double and king size bed in seconds. But quality it’s not only a matter of time, in fact Douglas is also easy to open and doesn’t need you to remove any cushions. Just pull the backrest forward to fold out the metal action mechanism and the h.14 cm mattress in one single move.
Simply gorgeous in velvet, it is also available in fabric in an array of colours and patterns that suit any home decor. The upholstery comes with or without buttons, which gives the convertible sofa a greater versatility. The blind tufting is the right match for more traditional environments, while contemporary homes will gladly welcome the metallic studs of the buttoned model.

Mattress (for bed only) Interior springing made of a 2,20 mm. diam. hardened steel; CM expanded polyurethane foam 27 Kg/m3; cover in 100% CO ecru FR treated fabric quilted with FR 100% PL 200 g/m2 and “barrier” non woven support; sides in 100% CO ecru FR treated fabric quilted with mm. 5 foam; piping. The mattress meets the requirement of BS 7177 : 1996 Specification for Resistance to ignition of Mattresses, Divans and Bed Bases for “Medium Hazard” (Crib 5).
Frame Back: high resistance steel tube epoxy baked painted. Armrests: solid fir and poplar plywood. Headboard: particle wood and poplar plywood. Front panel (non-bearing) in particle wood.
Padding Seat: expanded polyurethane foam CMHR 35 Kg/m3 and needle-punched thermo-fixed fiber 200 and 300 g/m2 combined with Schedule 3 interliner and 2,5 mm. quilted interliner. Back: expanded polyurethane foam 25 Kg/m3 and needle-punched thermo-fixed fiber 200 and 300 g/m2 and 2,5 mm. quilted interliner. Armrests: expanded polyurethane foam 40 and 25 kg/m3, covered with Schedule 3 interliner combined with 200 g/m2 PL fibre. Frame: expanded polyurethane foam 40 kg/m3 covered with Schedule 3 interliner combined with 200 g/m2 PL fibre.
Quilted cover: bottom: 100% cotton fabric; padding: resinated polyester fiber “Valform” 300 gr/m2; top: Schedule 3 interliner
