Foster

Foster is an exclusive modular sofa bed with a removable cover, characterised by a single-seat cushion, a low back design and movable back cushions. Created exclusively for Milano Bedding by internationally acclaimed French designer Christophe Pillet, this upholstered piece combines refined aesthetics with exceptional versatility. The range is composed of several modular elements that can be configured to suit a variety of interior layouts, including linear 2- and 3-seater sofas, a chaise longue available in both left- and right-facing versions, and a corner element designed to connect the modules into spacious L-shaped arrangements .

Foster is a sophisticated furnishing solution that combines contemporary elegance with the practicality of a sofa bed, while maintaining the appearance and presence of a refined living-room sofa. Its sculptural design is softened by rounded, inviting forms that convey an immediate sense of comfort. The generous proportions and carefully modelled volumes are not only an aesthetic feature but also a key element in delivering an exceptionally comfortable seating and resting experience. Extreme freedom of customisation goes hand in hand with design and practicality. The upholstery can be selected from a range of fabrics, leathers, and faux leathers in a wide range of colours. The sofa cover is completely removable, a feature that makes maintenance easier and helps preserve the sofa’s appearance over years.

As with all Milano Bedding upholstered pieces, Foster incorporates the patented Lampolet opening mechanism, recognised for its robustness, durability, and dependable performance over time. Converting the sofa into a bed is straightforward and effortless: once the single seat cushion has been removed, the integrated mechanism can be pulled forward quickly and safely. Hidden within the structure is a fully functional bed complete with a slatted base and a comfortable 2-metre-long mattress made from high-resilience polyurethane foam, ensuring excellent support for everyday rest. Depending on the selected configuration, the bed mattress can be selected in a small double, French double, or standard double bed size.

Mattress
All models with a bed include a Standard mattress, 10 cm high and 200 cm deep, made of CMHR polyurethane foam with a density of 35 kg/m³.
