Foster

Foster is a modern sofa bed with a low back design which expresses contemporary luxury. A sophisticated convertible piece which celebrates high-end aesthetics while preserving the practicality of a bed with an integrated slatted base. Foster can be selected in 2- or 3-seater versions as well as large formats measuring 240, 260, or 280 cm in length. It can be fitted with a 10 cm high small double, French double, or standard double mattress.
Unveiled at the 2026 Salone del Mobile, Foster was developed through the collaboration between Milano Bedding and acclaimed French designer Christophe Pillet. The project reflects a sophisticated approach to multifunctional furniture, seamlessly combining the comfort of a sofa with the convenience of a bed while maintaining a refined, welcoming aesthetic suited to modern living spaces. Its design is characterised by soft, enveloping volumes and sculptural forms. Wide curved armrests flow naturally into the low backrest, creating a harmonious silhouette enhanced by loose back cushions. The generous seat cushion extends across the entire sofa, concealing the convertible mechanism while contributing to the relaxed and inviting appearance of the model.
Foster is equipped with the patented Lampolet transformation mechanism, a system renowned for its ease of use, safety, and long-lasting durability. Converting the sofa into a bed is quick and intuitive: simply remove the seat cushion and pull the seat forward to reveal the integrated slatted base. According to the selected size, the bed is equipped with a high-resilience polyurethane foam mattress measuring 120, 140, or 160 cm in width.
Foster is delivered disassembled for easier transportation, and the upholstery is completely removable. This feature simplifies maintenance, and the cover can be customised in fabric, leather, or faux leather in a wealth of contemporary colours.

Upholstery
Foster is available in fabric, faux leather, and leather in all the colours featured in the sample collection. The sofa has fully removable covers and can be cleaned according to the care instructions specific to each upholstery material .

Foster is equipped with backrest cushions 55 x 45 cm (n.2 for 240 and 260 cm sofas; n.3 for 280 cm sofas).
